1 Month September 12, 2010

Brynley Sage,

I can't believe how quickly the last month has flown by. It has literally been the fastest month of my life. I never thought that my love for you could grow more that it already was the day you were born, but each and everyday it gets stronger. You are the most precious baby ever. You barely even cry when you have a dirty diaper. You love when Mommy holds you on my chest, and you curl up! This melts my heart. I love watching you and daddy together. He loves you so much and it is so precious. He takes care of you for mommy sometimes, and he even took you to town with him one day, just the two of you. You give Mommy fits at night sometimes, but I know that one day I am going to miss these days. I love you so much my precious love!

4 Weeks

You weigh 9 lbs and 12 oz. and are 21 and 3/4 inches long.

You eat 4 oz. of formula right now.

Just in the last two days you have started to outgrow Newborn clothes and diapers.

You like to sleep during the day and stay awake at night when Mommy is very sleepy.

You love to ride, it always puts you right to sleep.

You love to play on your playmat. You can push yourself up when you lay on your belly.

When you are on your playmat you love to look in your mirror. You will coo just like you are trying to talk to someone.

Bathtime is so much fun to you. You cry when it is time for you to get out.

Your favorite toy is your yellow giraffe. We have named him Giraffey.

Mommy and Daddy call you Sagey Baby.

You got sick for your first time on August 29th. Mommy had to call the doctor because your nose was so stuffy, you had a slight temp, and you were coughing.

You slept thru the night for your first time last night! Mommy was the proudest mommy in the whole wide world!

CSN STORES REVIEW

CSN Stores features 200+ stores with one easy checkout where you can find everything from coffee tables to baby accessories! I started shopping with CSN while pregnant. I didn't feel like going out and searching for what I needed for Brynley's nursery and I found out I could go to CSN and type in what I needed and it would pop right up! I could order and in a few days the delivery man would bring it right to my door, and I never had to leave the house!

My favorite thing about CSN is their super quick shipping. It seems like everytime I order I find out that my shipping has been upgraded and I will be recieving my items sooner. CSN also has free shipping on tons of items!
Now that the baby is here I will be looking for new home decor and I plan on shopping CSN for household items, and especially a new coffee table that will be safer than the one I have for when she starts walking!
Check out CSN and you will be so happy that you did!

3 Weeks

I can't believe how time is flying! Brynley is already 3 weeks old! She is growing so fast. Everyday she changes. Robyn has been off work for 5 nights, so Brynley and I have been super spoiled. We went to Wal-Mart at midnight Thursday night. I think that is the best time to go with an infant who stays up all night because no one is there! We also went to Babies R Us and the the Huntsville Mall on Friday!

Monday night, which was Sept. 6th, Brynley went to sleep at 10:30 and slept till 4 A.M., then ate, went back to sleep, and slept till 8 A.M. We all watched TV for awhile, and then went back to sleep till 11 A.M. I am one happy Mommy! I feel rested for the first time since she came home!

Brynley LOVES to play on her play mat. She will lay and hit her rattles and stare at herself in the mirror for about an hour, while she is cooing. She also has a favorite stuffed animal, her yellow giraffe that sings.

Having a baby has been the most wonderful thing ever! Robyn and I love her more than we could have ever imagined. We have been so blessed with the most precious little girl ever!

Growing Like a Weed

I can't believe that tomorrow will be 2 weeks ago that I gave birth to the most precious and beautiful little girl in the world. 2 weeks ago my world was turned around, and I am happy to say it will never be the same thanks to and 8 lb 9oz little bundle of joy.

Robyn has told me over and over that he never imagined it to be like this. I can say that I never did either. I never knew that I could love something so much! I love when she stares at me while she eats, and how she holds her little mouth open as soon as she sees her bottle coming toward her mouth. I love how she smiles while she sleeps, and every once in a while I will catch her laughing in her sleep. I love how every night her daddy reads her a book. I love how he takes care of her and he is so loving towards her. I love EVERYTHING about my precious Brynley Sage!

The Birth of Brynley Sage Canady

On August 12, 2010 at 4:15 P.M. the most miraculous and unbelievable little girl came into our lives! Dr. Woods decided to induce me so we had to be at the hospital at 5:30 A.M. We woke up, got ready, and were headed on our way. We stopped at Burger King across from the hospital to get Robyn something to eat , then headed for the 3rd floor. When we arrived we were told we weren't suppose to arrive until 6:00 A.M. , but we were shown to our room, Room 329. I got dressed in my hospital gown and waited for a nurse to arrive. The nurse came in and started my IV, and around 7 A.M. Dr. Woods came in and broke my water. He said my name was not put on the earlier list, so he was the one who did it. (Thank God because I do not like seeing other doctors.)

Soon after pitocin was started. Around 9:30 my contractions were getting strong so I asked for some pain meds. I never really felt any pain, just a lot of tightening. After feeling these I know that I never had any contractions at all before. This relaxed me completely. I was able to lay down and rest. When I woke up I felt a lot of pressure and asked the nurse to check me. I was at 4 and was able to get my epidural!!!!

I received the epidural around 11:10 A.M. and it went great! I was relaxed and it felt a little like a bee sting. Robyn said he felt very comfortable with the annesthesiologist because he was so professional. After this I was again able to relax. Around 3 o'clock I told my nurse I was feeling tons of pressure. She just brushed it off. I told her 2 more times, and finally she checked me after I was practically begging. She told me I was 7 CM dialated. About that time Dr. Woods walked in and checked me again and said I was 10 CM and efaced 1 and was ready to push. Strange to me since I had been telling her , but then she said I was only at 7.

I pushed from 3:00- 4:15. I was a lot of work, and I was so tired. At first I was fine, Robyn was feeding me ice chips, I was laughing, cutting up. But when I got really tired I got mad. The last 15 minutes were the worst because I was exhausted. I would look up at Robyn and he would have his eyes closed and his head down. I would ask him what he was doing and he would say he was just praying..that moment is so precious to me.

Finally the nurse called the Dr. and in 2 pushes after he walked in Brynley Sage Canady came into this world! It was the most amazing moment of my entire life. The nurse handed her to me and said she was over 9lbs, but she ended up being 8 lbs 9 oz to all of our surprise. I let mom watch , which I still can't believe. We finally got to hold her after she was cleaned up and we just couldnt believe what God had given us, and we still can't.

My child birth experience was absolutely wonderful. It is amazing to me how God created us so that it comes so natural. It was so amazing to experience such a miracle. We are so thankful for our blessing from above!

38 Week Check Up

My 38 week check-up was Tuesday, August 3rd. This was also Momma's birthday, so Shawna and Addy went with us, along with Granny Bob. I got back to see the dr. and when my nurse took her heartbeat she was being very hyper like always. She had to press on my stomach and hold the baby down so she could get her heartbeat. When she did this I could hear that it was really , really fast. She said she was going to have Dr. Woods check it. I had to lay down on the table for 30 minutes to see if her heartbeat went down any. I was so scared. I was nervous that something was wrong with my baby. I laid there and cried and prayed and asked God to take care of my baby.

When Dr. Woods came back in he checked and it was about the same as it is every visit, 175. He checked me and I was dialated 1.5 cm. He told me to put my bottoms on and to come over to his office for a minute. When I got there he asked if I wanted to have this baby next week. I was shocked. I was expecting him to say that, but of course I did! He checked his schedule and decided that I would have her on Thursday, August 12th. I am beyond excited. I can't wait to meet this little angel that I have been carrying around for almost 10 months!

37 Weeks

We went for our weekly appointment yesterday. My cervix is still closed completely, and Dr. said I could possibly go over my due date. I love being pregnant, but I don't think I can wait an extra 2 weeks to meet my baby girl. Her heartbeat was still at 175. I think this is a sign that she is already like her Daddy. He has more energy than anyone I have ever met in my life.

I have been thinking a lot about labor. I have prayed since the beginning that God will ease my fear, and when I go into labor that he will keep me calm. I already feel that way. I am really thinking about having no one in the room except Robyn and Mom in the room while I am going through the labor process. I really don't see the need to have people in the room while I am in pain, or after the epidural, when I am resting. I don't know how people will take this, but I think that it will take some stress off of me.
