The Stomach Virus

Thursday night I came home from school. I was so tired, and couldn't wait to take my nap. As soon as I hit the couch I got this awful feeling, and told Robyn to run and get the garbage can as fast as he could. He made it back just in time, because I was VERY sick. I vomitted for 15 hours. I was so worried about Baby C, but so sick that I could barely raise my head up. We called the emergency line and they called in a prescription. Of course it didn't work. Finally around midnight Robyn called them back and we ended up having to call my wonderful mother. She stayed and took care of me all night, then got up and took off work the next day and stayed with me. I have never in my life been so sick. Being sick and pregnant is not a good combination. I had gained 9lbs during my pregnancy, but I lost 8 of it while I was sick. I seriously do not know what I would do without a the wonderful family that I have been blessed with. After almost 3 days of laying around I am finally able to get up today. I hope this bug stays far away from my family from now on.

Morning Sickness

The worst thing about being pregnant is morning sickness. I was sick starting at week 6-week 11. During this time I would vomit every time I woke up (mornings and naps), smelled something terrible, or saw something disgusting. Then is miraculously went away......or so I thought. It came back 2 weeks later , but this time it has only been in the mornings when I wake up. I am hoping that it will go away again VERY soon for good.
The best thing about being pregnant is eating! I have had several cravings- bologna, grapico (this went away very quickly), red power aid, and my biggest craving kiwi fruit. I could eat kiwi all day everyday. I just love it!

First Ultrasound

On January 11, 2010, we were able to see our baby for the first time. Of course it was still super tiny, but it was the most precious thing I had ever seen. Baby C had a heartrate of 188 on this day. The sound of the baby's heart was music to our ears. It was the sweetest sound I had ever heard!

We are Having a Baby!

On December 7, 2009, Robyn and I were surprised to find out that we were expecting our first child. We went to our first dr. visit on December 15, 2009 and found out that baby Canady should be arriving around August 15, 2010! We are super excited and can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy!
